We went to two parties on Saturday; Scott's Grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary, and a Halloween party by one of his co-workers. The anniversary party had tons of food, the usual veggies and dip, some fruit, chips, chips and more chips, lots of fattening "salads", meat balls and cake. I tried to be good and didn't eat a lot, but then one of Scott's cousins was circling the house yelling out "cake?" and eventually I ended up with a slice. Fortunately it was a small slice but within a few minutes of eating it my stomach cramped up - I hadn't eaten anything that sweet for awhile and I immediately regretted it. From that party we dropped the kids off at Jill's (Thank you Jill!) and headed to Scott's co-workers party. Well they are a couple who really enjoy their food, so there was tons of food that they had been preparing all day. Well by the time we got there it was after 7pm and I was hungry so I tried to grab a few not so unhealthy items (there weren't a lot). I did have some self control and didn't go hog wild.
