June
Okay, I had set myself a goal for this month and did not even attempt it. Sad but true. Now that the kids are out of school I am feeling like I might be able to get myself into a workout routine of some sort. Jake's 4th birthday is 2 months away so I am going to try to lose at least 10 pounds by then. It is a small enough goal that I am sure I can do it (since I would love to lose much more than that). I am going to try to start a food/exercise journal that I will update daily on things I do to get me toward my goal. Sadly, it is expensive to eat healthy and with the lovely economy the way it is, it stresses me out to spend a lot on groceries. I may just have to get creative. Anyway...I am hoping to stop drinking my Diet Coke over the summer and increase my water intake as well. I have noticed my eczema is flaring up again (seems to be on my face this time too) and my scalp is feeling dry and itchy. I am hoping with increased water intake I will notice improvement in these areas.

I agree that it definitely is more expensive to eat healthy. What I've been doing is just stopping at the grocery store more often. I used to stock up on fruits and veggies and they all go to waste because I don't eat them fast enough. So, I just stop and get what I actually will use in the next two days. I'm currently going through a Southwestern Salad phase. Lettuce, black beans, pico de gallo and corn. Yum yum, and low fat. I need to learn a recipe for southwestern dressing though. I think sour cream...taco seasoning...but not sure what else. At least with the great weather you can do lots of walks to the park perhaps??
